Job Title: Student Pastor
 Location: Hope Community Church, Rogersville, TN

Position Summary:
The Student Pastor will provide dynamic leadership and vision for the student ministry (grades 6–12), fostering a Christ-centered environment where students encounter the Gospel, grow in their faith, and become active participants in God’s Kingdom. This role requires a collaborative team player who can effectively partner with staff, volunteers, and the community to reach and disciple students.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Gospel-Centered Teaching and Discipleship:

• Develop and deliver engaging, biblically sound teaching relevant to students’ lives.
• Create and implement a comprehensive discipleship strategy that encourages spiritual growth.
• Foster an environment where students can ask questions, explore faith, and experience transformation.
• Assist with Sunday morning services and other teaching opportunities as needed.
  
  

2. Staff Collaboration and Team Leadership:

• Work closely with the pastoral and administrative staff to ensure cohesive ministry.
• Participate in staff meetings, planning sessions, and church-wide events.
• Recruit, train, and support a team of volunteers.
• Develop and mentor a student leadership team.
  
  

3. Community and School Engagement:

• Build relationships with local schools, faculty, and sports teams.
• Attend school events to connect with students and their families.
• Organize outreach events that engage the broader community.
• Maintain active relationships with local First Priority groups.
  
  

4. Student Involvement and Service:

• Plan and lead weekly student ministry gatherings and special events.
• Organize student service projects to encourage practical expressions of faith.
• Plan and execute summer events for the student ministry.
• Encourage student involvement in Wednesday services.
  
  

5. Administrative and Operational Duties:

• Maintain regular office hours (Mondays and Wednesdays, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM).
• Manage the student ministry budget and resources.
• Communicate regularly with students, parents, and volunteers.
• Keep accurate records and reports of ministry activities.
• Be available Sunday mornings to support church-wide needs.
  
  

Qualifications:

• A passionate follower of Jesus Christ with a heart for student ministry.
• Strong biblical teaching and communication skills.
• Relational, approachable, and able to connect with students and families.
• Proven leadership and team development abilities.
• Excellent organizational and administrative skills.
• Team player with a collaborative spirit.
• Experience in student ministry preferred.
• Agreement with Hope Community Church’s statement of faith and values.
  
  

Additional Requirements:

• Participation in Camp Hope throughout the summer is required.
• Weekly Hours: 20–25 hours per week.
• Compensation: $15,000 annually.
